These are the Faces of Hope.

Updated: Sep 2, 2019

The work of volunteers pulling together to make a difference in our community.

It is not every day that you get to meet someone like Birdie Gutierrez. An immigrant herself, she is in the business of making sure that those families have a warm welcome to this country.

Just imagine... leaving everything known to you to embark in an unknown journey in pursiut of a better life.

I want migrants to know that there is a community on this side of the boder that cares... we care!

Just this week, she helped welcome two migrant families to their potential new home with dignity, love and respect.

Your donations at work: a warm welcome for new family.

"Welcoming mamas and babies that had just just crossed the border. We had just ordered food for everyone. They are so hungry when released as they are given food that is still frozen. We do our best to make them happy when they arrive and tell them they are loved and welcome here!"

Tears of gratitude.

The work of volunteers keeps this grassroots effort alive!

"This is my passion. And I couldn't have done it without the support of the community. I am encouraged everyday by the love of strangers, people in our community who give their time and donations to make this possible.

This is what I am able to do with your generous donations. Because accountability matters!"

We welcomed a mom to her new life.

As for myself, Birdie reminded me of the wonderful people that helped me along my journey to this country. I had the love and support of family members that made me feel welcome and importantly loved. It is now time to pay it forward.

See more of the impact that A Bridge of Love Across the Border is having in our community.
